All Women Blogging Carnival

We are participating in the All Women Blogging Carnival

Our post is to be about something humorous that happened as a mom or a humorous story about a child.

Sweet Distractions
The 4fabmoms were gathering for their monthly business meeting for Smart Moms-Smart Business LLC. We are 4 moms who are dedicated to helping other woman stay home with their kids through helping them develop their own home based businesses. Our kids are our passion and they keep us motivated and dedicated. It just so happens that at most of our business meetings, we have a few toddlers in tow. This day was no exception.

We began around the dinning room table. We had notebooks, and spread sheets, goal boards and calendars. Every inch was covered. Two of our two year olds where quietly watching a movie. It had worked before and so we naively thought it would work again. I had given my son a small bag of mini- m&m’s to put in his pocket. Let’s be honest. They were a bribe for letting Mommy get some work done. I told him he could eat them after lunch. A few “very quiet” moments passed. Then to our surprise, we found him covered form head to toe in chocolate. He had eaten the candy right through the bag. Literally sucked it through the small little bite marks he had created. Our “sweet distractions” had their own “sweet distraction”.

Ok, mine has been submitted! It was hard to choose just one - my kids keep me laughing.

Mine isn;t about the kids, it is about getting started in the morning. Then you can cope with the kids!

Thanks for hosting this week! Mine isn't a story - just some kid photos that bring a smile to my face...

Thanks for hosting! Looking forward to reading the submissions this week. And I'm curious to read how other women feel about Dancers for Democracy.

Hi, everyone, I guess I didn't read the rules for submitting an article to this because mine is not a "Mommy" moment. I have enjoyed reading all of the other submissions. Thanks for the laughs and the reminders of what my kids were like when they were younger. My kids are 31 and 29. My 29 year old daughter has 4 kids of her own but they live in another state over 1000 miles away.
