Christmas Shopping Trickery

Today, Kim and I met at Target. She graciously took our family photos this year. I got some great ones. So she picked the prints up and helped me pick out the frames at Target.

Well, I went through all my gifts and I realized I was short one for each boy. Instead of me having to come back solo, we devised a plan and headed to the toy aisle. All 4 kids were obviously overcome with all toys, and I casually pointed and winked at the 2 gifts I needed, she put them in her cart, with a roll of wrapping paper for me.

We checked out in separate aisles and the kids were none the wiser. Smart Moms always shop with friends. They help you out in a pinch.

Thankful Tuesday's

With Christmas only a week away, I am m grateful for family. Especially the newest member of our family that is set to arrive in early May. We just learned that our new addition will be a boy and we are all very excited (although I am a little nervous about a boy...I have absolutely no experience with boys!). My daughter, Lilly, is still under the impression that she's getting a baby sister and insists that the baby's name will be Coco (how lovely for a boy!).

I am also thankful that we will see my family this weekend during our trip to the Keys. It will be the first time we've all spent time together in a couple of years and it will be nice to have everyone together and in one place!

We would love to hear what you are thankful. Take a moment and share with us!!

Christmas Recipe

So this Christmas morning we are hosting my family for the fun and activities! Last night my hubby and I were doing a little meal planning for the breakfast feast and realized it was getting out of hand. Too many things to prepare at the butt-crack-of dawn (my hubby's words). So I busted out the family recipes and found a fabulous breakfast casserole my mother-in-law fixes! Here's her recipe. I hope it will help someone else not be stressed on Christmas morning since this can be assembled the night before and popped in the oven the morning of. Fix a fruit salad, cinnamon rolls and drinks and you are good to go!

Pam's Breakfast Casserole
1 bag shredded hash brown potatoes (Simply Potatoes is the brand she uses)
1 1/2 pounds sausage (Jimmy Dean is what she uses) You can do hot, med, mild or a mix.
1/2 onion, diced
9 eggs
1 cup milk
2 cups shredded SHARP cheddar cheese

Brown onions and sausage.
Stir eggs with milk.
In a baking dish layer your potatoes, sausage mixture, egg mixture and cheese.
Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes. Serve and enjoy!!
