Thankful Tuesday's

Since starting this new series, each week I am forced to really think about what I am thankful for in my life. While some weeks are easy, I have to admit, sometimes I feel like I am really scrapping the bottom of the barrel to write about something!! I know it's a shame, but it's true. I often forget to be thankful for even the smallest of things!!

So today, I am thankful for my mother-in-law (guess I am following a "family theme" lately!!). Just like our grandpa, she lives walking distance from us (I told you we lived on a family compound!!). And because of that, Lilly is able to spend a lot of time with her. Jackie, my mo-in-law, has always been really helpful and has been my personal babysitter from day one! Yesterday she came by and took Lilly home with her for a nap (which she has never done, but I wasn't objecting). Having just 3 hours of free time enabled me to get so much done!!! And then today she watched Lilly while I went for my annual maternity check-up (and we all know how much fun those 5 minute visits are!!). The nicest part, though, was that she also watched her while I got a pedicure...something I haven't done since November and can I tell you, my poor feet REALLY needed it!!

So yes, I realize that I am spoiled by Jackie and I truly appreciate it!! And I know I don't tell her enough, so I guess I better let her know about this post!!! And by the way, she's kinda hard of hearing and thinks that I post on a "blob"!!!!

I join you in being thankful for mother-in-laws! Mine takes Ruby with her every Wednesday morning to BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and Chickfila for lunch after! Ruby looks forward to it every week and I enjoy the extra long morning break!

:) Thank God for sweet mo-in-laws! I know some get a bad wrap but mine is wonderful.

That is so nice. My husband's mother died before we were married, but we know she would be an extra special grandmother and mother in law. My mom does pretty good though. She is a busy woman, but will not say no any time my children ask her to come over!

And I hope you enjoyed that pedi since you could have had lunch with me!

Hello I am a little late to the game.

My MOL is great as well. The kids love having her visit as she always has a special gift for them:-)
