What are you doing with your Tax Refunds?
So anyone else have their refund and economic stimulus checks, If so what are you doing with them?
We are putting the tax refund to pay off a credit card and the economic stimulus on the principle of our home.
Here is a smart tip! Don't buy more stuff with it, see how you can leverage it to give you more financial freedom, not more useless stuff!

We used our tax refund to get us further out of debt. We are one credit card and a line of credit away from financial freedom (excluding our mortgage).
The stimulus check we haven't seen and we haven't decided what we are going to do with it. We do have a couple home improvements that we would like to get done, but being closer to debt free is VERY appealing.
I also believe you should use some for yourself. I once read a financial book that said to donate 10%, spend 30%, and put the rest towards lowering debt or investing if you do not have the debt. It is probably a good idea to invest some if you debt it's at a lower rate than investments, like a low rate car loan or low rate student loan. Any way, use it to work for your family. And the tax refund, try to lower that so you are not giving the IRS money tax free!
Our refund will be paying for our baby. We don't have maturnity insurance (our choice) and so the bill at the end can be a little overwhelming.
I think Amber had good advice about using your refund or stimulus check to pay off debt, although I am not sure that's what Bush had in mind...he wants us to spend, spend, spend!!!
Hello, this is for betsy
she mentioned she didn't have maturnity insurance.. ? never heard of such a thing. You should have medical insurance and you could get a "care plan" - helps cover extra expenses. Company like mine thru AIG or Aflac offers it.
Consider it a supplement to your medical.
